You're So Oblivious Ch. 1(CoreyxLaney)

*First day of junior year*

I woke up to my alarm blaring Pandora radio.  "Alright, alright, I get it," I mumbled to myself, "summer break is over, time to get up and start another school year of Corey being oblivious to the fact that I like him."

I rolled out of bed and walked over to my closet.  I had taken my shower the night before so I could spend an extra long amount of time in there.  I picked out a cute crop top, some skinny jeans, gladiator sandals, and some leather bracelets.  I haven't totally gone away from my old style, just updated it I guess because the crop top was black and green striped and the sandals were red.  Same old colors.  

In the past few years I had changed from the tomboy that Corey, Kin, and Kon had grew to know.  I had gotten taller, I actually have a chest now, I started doing my makeup so it accentuates my face, and my hair had grown out.  The hair and makeup were probably the most noticeable things as my face looked really good now and my hair was below where my bra ends, a major difference to when it was at my chin.  I dress a little differently, too.  More girlish I guess, but I still wear jeans, sneakers, and a sweatshirt every once in a while.

After I got my clothes on, I did my makeup and straightened my hair.  As it grew out, it got wavy so I straightened it basically every day.  I went downstairs after my regular routine was finished and walked to the fridge and got out milk, then got out cereal from the cupboard.  Unlike most people at Peaceville High, I actually eat a breakfast or else I turn into a demon. 

After I finished my breakfast, I went upstairs and brushed my teeth.  I find it weird that people brush before they eat; it sorta destroys the purpose doesn't it?  As I was brushing, I had a lot of thoughts running through my head.  I hadn't seen the band all summer.  I was on vacation in the summer in Greece because apparently we have family there.  We all skyped regularly so I was up to date with the happs that went on in their lives and Trina's, too.  Trina got together with Nick Mallory as she had dreamed and Mina was still her BFF but the rumor was that Nick only stuck with Trina so he could see Mina.   Oooh, love triangle, like I care.  I only care about Corey but he's been oblivious to me for 5 years now, so I doubt anything will ever happen.  But then again, I'm a lot prettier now, not to sound full of myself, then I was then so maybe he'll finally see me as a girl.

I looked up at the clock and saw I had been brushing my teeth for 5 minutes now.  Whoops.  I went downstairs, grabbed my book bag, phone, and 20 bucks and said goodbye to my parents, then started for the bus stop.  When I got there I saw Kin and Kon waiting.

"Hey Guys!" I waved to them with a smile.

They looked at me weirdly, then did a double take.  With their twintuition, they both go "Lanes?!" at the same time.

Guess they haven't seen me properly for a while so it must be weird for them.  I reached the bus stop.  "Hey guys, it so good to be back from Greece."

Kon was the first to speak after that.  "Wow, Lanes, you've changed a lot.  Not in a bad way though."

"Thanks, Kon" I said with a smile, then looked at Kin.

"Um-uh-er... YOU'RE A GIRL." Kin practically shouted.

"Um, Kin, I've been one my whole life ya know."

"Well but you look like one now," he said, staring at me but then noticed my devil eyes, "not that you didn't before its just you're super pretty now."

"Thanks, I'm going to ignore the 'look like one now' comment," I said with a smile, "now both of you give me a hug, I haven't seen you in person all summer!"

They both gave me giant bear hugs at the same time, lifting me off the ground as I was still shorter than them.  When they let go, I asked where Corey was, as he was usually here by now.

"Oh, he has his own car now." Kin answered.

"Yeah," said Kon, "He did a couple of solos and saved enough money for a mustang.  It's pretty sweet."

I was in shock for a minute.  I'm surprised he didn't tell me this.

"Oh." was all I could say.  Luckily the bus came at that exact moment.

"Come on." said Kon, "I don't want the seat with the gum on it."  So, we all trooped onto the bus.

*Peaceville High Parking Lot*

I got off the bus with Kin and Kon and immediately started looked for a mustang like Kon had said.  Turns out, it wasn't that hard to spot, being surround by about twenty people.

"Kin, why are there so many people around Core's car?"

"Well, he is sorta the most popular guy in school."

My jaw dropped.  "What?"

"When Nick Mallory left, he took Nick's spot as most popular and and I mean, who could blame him?  Looks, talent, and a cool personality, whats not to like?"

I blushed.  I've realized this for 5 years now.  Well, time to see his reaction.

"Okay dudes, time to go in."  I said, doing army signals.

"Ma'am, yes ma'am" they both saluted back as we started to walk towards the car.

When we got there we elbowed and shoved people aside that wouldn't move until we finally got to Corey.  I was about to say hey but then Corey goes,

"Lanes?!"
